Salford Nocturne 08 Chris Hoy Challange
Chris Hoy was good enough to race a 500m sprint on the Rollapaluza rollers. He was fast, dressed in jeans and having done no cycling since his return from the Olympics he stall managed a time of 19.44. This would have been the new record if Craig Mclean hadn’t ridden earlier. Criag is still in training having just missed out on a place in the GB Olympic squad and he produced a pure roller racing master class.
Full adult times here.
Dan Woolfenden used his experience on the Rollapaluza rollers to help him post the best of the rest fastest time.

Is 19.44 the fastest time set whilst wearing jeans?
You should varnish the top of the blackboard, keep their results permanently

Third in vets and a great laugh too, made the whole event that bit more special. Maybe you should have a vets category
Criag Mclean was relly on it and totally smoked everyone. A fantastic effort.
Thanks guys – I’ll drop you a disc with my images (I was the photographer with the slightly wobbly legs after beating a self confessed trackie !)
