Once again a capacity crowd packed this swanky Central London venue for some hectic roller-race action and top DJs. 115 people wanted to race, which has got to be some kind of record, unfortunately we could only allow a maximum entry of 80, of which a huge and competitive contingent of 24 women. Track Sprinters Dave le Grys and Lee Povey called-in sick but new (and younger) team “the all-star trackies” stepped up to put in a fantastic performance. Simon Lewis and John Scripps both completed a gruelling 8 races across both competitions to take silver in the team event and Gold (John) and Bronze (Simon) in the Individual event.
Great thanks to Tour de Ville for sponsoring the event and adding a touch of glamour to the prize-giving ceremonies.
