3500 Rollapaluza racers in March! a record.

Rollpaluza Community work grows.

We’ve long been dedicated to using our brand of cycle sport to promote cycling as sport, transport and healthy activity. In March 2012 we’ve broken our record of participants in one calendar month with almost exactly 3500 racers.  The bulk of these have been in joint programmes with the London borough of Waltham Forest, whose pupils have had their own schools Rollapaluza league and with London NHS organisations where Rollapaluza have been encouraging staff and vistors alike at hospitals and clinics around the capital to take to cycling.

180 keen youngsters will be taking part today (Thursday 29.03.12) in the Waltham Forest league final at Leyton Orient Football Club being cheered on by the pro soccer players….. with some pupils having chosen to race Rollapaluza rather than meet the Queen.

In addition to their regular community work, we’ve also set up Rollapaluza Outreach, bringing fun and engaging cycling events to schools, young people and disadvantaged adults and those who may not normally have access to healthy activity, enabling them to partake in cycling activity in safe and secure environments in safe and secure environments!
